The start of a new season. I'm psyched up. Going up against Clemson tonight. Going to be a tough game, but at least we are not starting out with a patsy.
We've got a little cheerleader outfit on the way up from Alabama for Gabby to wear on game day!
The Bible says to raise up a child in the way he should go and they will not depart from it. So, she is going to be raised up pulling with
her Daddy for the Crimson Tide!

Weekend Getaway

Cool bridge somewhere in VA?

Steph and I took off this past weekend and set off for the mountains with no plans except to drive and take pictures. Gabby stayed with her grandparents so we had a little time off.
We drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway and ended up in Galax, VA in a cabin on the banks of the New River. I was told by Rebecca from Piedmont Dance Conservatory that the New River is the third oldest river in the world and that it actually flow south to north in one stretch. Pretty cool! Anyway, we had the best time. No deadlines, place to be, anything like that. We cooked out on the grill and had such a great time. We are going to try to start doing that at least once every two months.
